Year 7 Pupils Dive Deep into Ocean Pollution with Creative Sculpture Project
Our Year 7 Pathways pupils recently embarked on an engaging and thought-provoking project, exploring the critical issue of ocean pollution through the lens of art. Inspired by the incredible work of artist Michelle Reader, who transforms discarded materials into striking sculptures, our pupils brought in their own household waste to create unique 3D models of endangered sea creatures.
This hands-on initiative provided a dynamic way for pupils to understand the causes and effects of marine pollution. Michelle Reader's artistic approach sparked lively discussions, helping pupils make meaningful connections between creative reuse and the direct impact of waste on marine life.
