Parents & Carers: Report Concerns
At Co-op Academy North Manchester we want to create a culture where pupils are confident to ask for help and support when they need it.
If a pupil is concerned that they or someone they know might be at immediate risk of harm, they must tell a member of staff as soon as they can. They can approach any member of staff in the academy and share this information with them. It could be a teacher, a pastoral manager, a kitchen assistant, an office assistant or a cleaner.
All members of staff in the academy know the correct procedure to follow to keep everyone safe.

Our Responsibility
Staff at the academy have a responsibility to every pupil who raises a safeguarding concern. At Co-op Academy North Manchester, a pupil rasing a concern should:
- be reassured that they are being taken seriously;
- be supported and kept safe;
- never be given the impression that they are creating a problem by reporting an incident;
- never be made to feel ashamed for making a report;
- be told what will happen next and who the information will be shared with.
We can never promise to keep a secret. We can do all we can to only share the information with those who need to know.
