Vision and Values

‘Values consistently underpin the actions that are taken by leaders and staff at the school.’

Ofsted 2019

These values are supported by our Co-op Commitment.

Our Vision

‘Together we have the highest aspirations and expectations so that everyone achieves excellence in all they do and are equipped to lead happy and successful lives.’

We work hard to give pupils, staff and the community our very best. At the heart of everything we do is a simple goal: preparing our pupils for happy and successful lives.

We sit at the heart of our local community, sharing our excellent facilities and involving our pupils in a range of community projects. Many local residents use our facilities, and we are always looking for ways in which we can better serve our community.

Our Values

Respect for ourselves, each other and our community

Commitment to strive to achieve our best, and to support others to achieve their best

Trust in ourselves and each other so that we can achieve our best

At our academy's foundation is a strong sense of community and inclusivity. We go beyond academic achievement; our pastoral system supports pupils developing their social, moral, spiritual and cultural skills.

Our academy is a great place to be because we encourage pupils to speak up and make their voices heard. Student Council, Sports Leaders and Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are just a few examples of the pupil leadership opportunities that are available.

We are polite, punctual and always show up prepared to learn with a keen attitude towards academy life. Our rewards system is built around our values, and we like to reward those who show them in their daily lives. When pupils give 100% engagement, 100% of the time, we like to let them know they're appreciated.

We encourage our pupils to embody the Co-op Ways of Being when they face the wider world.
