Our Year 9 pupils recently gained an invaluable insight into the world of creative careers, thanks to an immersive workshop hosted at the UCLan Young Creative Centre. The day focused on the intricate journey a manuscript takes, from initial concept to a published book on the shelves.
On Thursday, November 27th, the academy was delighted to welcome back our exceptional Class of 2025 for a special evening of celebration, achievement and reconnection.
A group of nine Year 9 and Year 10 girls recently returned from a transformative five-day residential trip to Jamie's Farm in beautiful Monmouthshire. The initiative, designed to empower pupils to strive both academically and socially, saw the pupils fully immerse themselves in sustainable farm life, stepping away from technology to engage in meaningful, hands-on experiences.
Our Year 10 pupils experienced a highly engaging and enlightening educational visit to the world-renowned Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics on Thursday, 13th November 2025.

The English Department recently ran a Halloween Competition that concluded with a chilling display of pupil talent, as they put their descriptive writing skills, honed during the recent 'gothic stories' topic, to the test. Tasked with crafting their own spooky tale or poem under the evocative title "Shadows," pupils delivered entries that were both atmospheric and unnerving.

On Wednesday, 24th September 2025 our Year 11 pupils had a fantastic opportunity to explore their future pathways at the annual Post-16 Careers Carousel. The event, a key part of our academy's Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) program, saw nine post-16 providers visit the academy to showcase the diverse range of opportunities available after graduation.
Co-op Academy North Manchester recently provided a crucial platform for its KS4 pupils as they attended the annual Careers Fair on Wednesday, October 22nd. The event was a key fixture in the academy's calendar, designed to help pupils inform their vital post-16 option choices

We are delighted for the Class of 2025 who have achieved an excellent suite of examination results across the full range of GCSE and vocational courses - with more pupils than ever before achieving exceptional grades and record-breaking performance in Maths particularly. This is owed to the dedication, hard work and perseverance of our Year 11 leavers throughout their five years at Co-op Academy North Manchester.
Co-op Academy North Manchester concluded another highly successful academic year with a vibrant awards ceremony, celebrating the remarkable achievements of its pupils and their unwavering commitment to learning. The event also spotlighted those who truly embodied the academy's core Co-op Ways of Being, showcasing the positive impact of these values on both academic and personal development.

Cheers erupted and records were challenged last on Friday, 11th July 2025 as we held our highly anticipated annual Sports Day. Despite temperatures soaring to a scorching 28 degrees Celsius, pupils displayed incredible athleticism and sportsmanship, making it a memorable day for all.
Co-op Academy North Manchester is bursting with pride following the outstanding achievement of its Debate Mate team, who secured an incredible second place at the highly prestigious National Debate Mate Finals. This remarkable success marks a significant milestone for the academy and highlights the exceptional talent and dedication of its pupils.
