October Half Term: Two Full Weeks (two equal seven week half-terms)

Wednesday Finish Time: 4:05pm 

Other Weekdays Finish Time: No change 3:05pm

Learning Time for Pupils : +11 hours of extra learning per year! 

More Time to Excel

By extending the school day every Wednesday, we’re giving pupils more time to learn. Pupils will now receive 11 more hours of learning across the year; time we can use to enhance their education through the Thrive Curriculum.

Thrive: An Improved Offer for our Pupils

The Thrive curriculum provides an enhanced offer with a bespoke program for each year group offering personal development, new experiences and enrichment opportunities beyond the taught curriculum.  Thrive is tailored to each year group so pupils are provided with age relevant priorities at key times of the academic year. This will include a combination of external speakers, sporting events, rewards celebrations, careers events, enrichment events, vital revision, and more! 

Opportunities to Rest, Recharge and Refocus

The Autumn term is always the longest and darkest of the year. Fatigue and seasonal illness impact pupil wellbeing, and attendance. Attendance at school is vital and a substantial break will help to keep our pupils happy and healthy, supporting family time and the opportunity to rest and recharge, and ensure 100% attendance during term time!
