Extracurricular Activities

Attending Co-op Academy North Manchester is about more than just learning in the classroom.

"Leaders plan an extensive range of extracurricular activities and clubs for pupils. These comprehensively cater for pupils’ wider academic, cultural, artistic and sporting interests. These activities also include events which open their eyes to the world in which they live and the difference that they can make in it."

Ofsted 2019

School is about much more than the curriculum.  It’s where you find your spark, meet your people, and discover talents you didn't even know you had. At Co-op Academy North Manchester, we’re proud of our packed extracurricular calendar, and we want everyone to be a part of it.

We encourage every pupil to take part in at least one extracurricular activity.

We run many clubs every day before school, at lunchtime and after school. If you have an interest, there's probably a club for it. From singing in the choir, enjoying sporting activities, or studying it up with friends in the History Club, there's an opportunity for everyone to go beyond the curriculum.

The homework hub is also open every day after school, where a range of resources are available to support learning and work with your friends.

You can download the full extracurricular activities brochure for 2025/6 at the bottom of this page.

  • Learn specialised skills that will stay with you long after you leave school;
  • Meet new friends who share your interests;
  • Show colleges and employers your drive and commitment;
  • Meet the experts and hear from inspiring guest speakers;
  • Take part in unique workshops, from STEM challenges to Debate Mate;
  • Explore the community on school trips;
  • Compete to take home trophies and certificates;
  • Perform in music, dance and drama events.
