Cheers erupted and records were challenged last on Friday, 11th July 2025 as we held our highly anticipated annual Sports Day. Despite temperatures soaring to a scorching 28 degrees Celsius, pupils displayed incredible athleticism and sportsmanship, making it a memorable day for all.
The event, featuring classic track and field disciplines, saw pupils push their limits across a range of challenges. From the powerful throws of the javelin, discus and shot put to the agile leaps in the long jump, every participant gave their all. The track events were equally thrilling, with competitors battling it out in the 400m, 200m, and 100m races, showcasing their speed and endurance.
Pupils were nominated by their form tutors to represent their form groups, leading to a fantastic display of dedication and team spirit. One of the most heartwarming aspects of the The day had the palpable sense of camaraderie; an amazing display of showmanship as pupils enthusiastically cheered on their fellow peers, creating an electric atmosphere of encouragement and support.
"It was truly inspiring to see the pupils perform so well in the heat," said Mrs Flannery, Head of PE "Their determination, coupled with the incredible support from their classmates, made this one of our best Sports Days yet. We're incredibly proud of everyone who took part."
A massive congratulations to all the medal winners on the day! Their hard work and talent shone brightly.
