As a former pupil of a predecessor school, education at Co-op Academy North Manchester is really important to me. After my A Levels, I studied English Literature at Lancaster University followed by completing a PGCE at Manchester Metropolitan University. Following that, I taught English in Oldham for a number of years before focusing on SEND, achieving a distinction in the NASENCo Award in 2022 whilst in post in my role as SENDCo at Co-op Academy North Manchester. In an academy where inclusivity is central to our values, my role involves working across teams to ensure that pupils with additional needs have access to the bespoke provision that they need to ensure equitable access to education for everyone in our community. I am also a qualified Access Arrangements Assessor and I support pupils in ensuring that they receive all the care and support that they need to achieve the best possible examination outcomes.
