As part of my degree in French and English from the University of Liverpool, I spent a year teaching in Paris. After graduating, I moved to Spain, where I gained more valuable experience teaching English as a foreign language. On returning to the UK, I completed my PGCE and began teaching Spanish and French, working across different schools in Manchester with diverse cohorts of students. Over the years, I developed a strong interest in curriculum design, pedagogy, and professional development. After four years as Head of MFL, in 2024, I joined the Senior Leadership Team for Teaching and Learning at Co-op North Manchester, where I now lead on developing teaching and learning approaches across the academy, and I am delighted to use this experience and expertise across different educational contexts to shape my vision of continuous learning and collaboration at Co-op Academy North Manchester.
