- Income Support;
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance;
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance;
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999;

- Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190);
- Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.
The Impact of Universal Credit
In the past, Manchester City Council have told us which pupils are entitled to free school meals based on their records of who receives benefits such as housing benefit and council tax support.
They stopped doing this on11th June 2018. The introduction of Universal Credit means that people will no longer claim these benefits in the same way.
All applications must now be completed online.
