Welcome from Co-op Academy North Manchester
As the academic year continues to fly by, I wanted to share some of our latest highlights and news…
On Thursday, we had the pleasure of hosting our Open Evening for prospective Year 5 and 6 pupils. It was great to welcome so many families who are considering joining our academy in the future. The evening was a fantastic opportunity for families to meet our dedicated staff, speak with current pupils, enjoy a tour of our facilities and experience first-hand the vibrant learning environment that we offer. I enjoyed delivering my address and meeting so many keen year 5s and 6s on the tours of our learning spaces. We hope that all who attended found it insightful and that we will meet many prospective pupils again when they join us in the future!
On another very positive note, congratulations to our Year 10s who completed their first round of mock examinations today. We are proud of the dedication and hard work they've shown throughout their first mock fortnight. Their commitment to the exams has been impressive, laying strong foundations as they look ahead to their final GCSE year.
It has also been a fortnight of inspiring experiences for our pupils. Our KS3 Pathways pupils developed their team-building and problem-solving skills through bouldering lessons at the Manchester Climbing Depo; our Year 10 MYA pupils all achieved a university-standard pass, after successfully completing their assignment program and four of our pupils shone brightly at Chemquiz at Manchester Metropolitan University. Our aspiring Chemists demonstrated their passion for science during a full lab experience. Read more about these achievements below!
As always, we aim to keep you fully informed. A reminder that our Co-op Academy North Manchester Instagram account, @coopnorthmcr, is a great way to receive positive messages and important reminders, in addition to our Facebook page, @coopacademynm. We have just three more weeks and two days until the summer break. The last day of term for pupils will be Tuesday, July 22nd and we'll be making the most of these final weeks with lots of engaging activities…
Best wishes
Mrs Sloper-Russell
